OUR BILIEFS :
The COPF is united body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ certain in the preservation of the principles of our faith, to the end that this body may be governed in an orderly manner consistent with the eternal Word of God.

We believe, with sincere conviction, the following as a guide to our doctrine and conduct.

  • The Word of God
  • The Trinity
  • God the Father
  • Jesus Christ
  • The Holy Spirit
  • Regeneration
  • The Church
  • Christian conduct
  • The ordinances
  • The end times

THE WORD OF GOD

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (See also: the trinity,

THE TRINITY
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons; that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.

GOD THE FATHER
We believe in God, the Father, and infinite personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

JESUS CHRIST
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in every sincere believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, and counselor.

REGENERATION
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus as Saviour.

THE CHURCH
We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

CHRISTIAN CONDUCT
We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and the well-being of his fellow beings. That his/her conduct should be blameless before the world. That he/she should be a faithful steward of his/her possession; and that he/se should seek to realize for himself/herself and others, the full stature of maturity in Christ.

THE ORDINANCES
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the church, Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the triune God; we believe that Christ instituted the Lord's Supper for the commemoration of His death. We believe that thee two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

THE END TIMES
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal reward of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.

DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLE
The main purpose of the COPF is the advancement of the Christian religion especially by the means of and in accordance with the principles of the COP International. Having been brought by divine Grace to embrace our Lord Jesus, and to give ourselves wholly to Him, we solemnly declare:
That in Christ's love we will remember one another in prayer, encourage and faithfully counsel and exhort each other in every circumstance.

That we will uphold the public worship of God and the ordinances, and never forsake the unity of members.

That we will never neglect the duty of teaching and training our children, and those under our care, for service.

That we will seek divine aid to enable us deny ungodliness, and devote ourselves to winning souls.

That it is the duty of every disciple to bear personal witness to the Gospel, striving together for its purity and propagation.

That we will cheerfully give our time and wealth accordingly as God has blessed us for the maintenance of a faithful ministry, and for the support of the underprivileged
